VGC reports a withdrawn GTA 6 PEGI listing with detailed content warnings
VGC reports that PEGI briefly published a GTA 6 entry containing detailed warnings about violence, drug use and sexual material before removing it. That is a more specific claim than the store descriptors already covered by GTA6 Watch. However, a direct search of PEGI's public database on October 4 returned no result for Grand Theft Auto VI, leaving us unable to independently inspect the text VGC quotes.
SOURCE IMAGEWhat VGC says the entry described
VGC's report says the entry described realistic bloody violence, including dismemberment, and frequent drug use involving items carried by the player. It also attributes references to nudity, sexual scenes and private nightclub dances to the removed text. We are summarizing these as VGC's account, not reproducing them under a claim that we verified the PEGI record ourselves. The distinction applies to every specific action described in that report, not merely to the age label in its headline.
What our PEGI check actually established
The PEGI search page was reachable on October 4 and displayed zero results for Grand Theft Auto VI. Its own explanatory text notes that a missing result can have several causes, including platform coverage. That response does not authenticate a circulated screenshot or disprove an earlier listing. Nor does it establish why an entry would have been removed. We therefore cannot use the current page to independently confirm VGC's account of a Friday publication and subsequent withdrawal.
Content descriptors do not map out the whole game
Even if the quoted text is restored and authenticated, an age-classification description is written to explain a rating, not to document all of a game's systems. It can identify examples relevant to the board's assessment without explaining frequency, narrative context, player restrictions or differences between scenes. Readers should not expand a short description into claims about every NPC, every weapon or unrestricted interactions across the entire map. A report that a particular action exists also does not establish its place in the campaign.
Do not confuse this with the store-ratings article
Our existing article on the US store ratings deals with the descriptors visible on those storefronts, including the in-game-purchases label and its limitations. This separate report concerns alleged detailed PEGI wording. A broad store descriptor does not independently corroborate every detail attributed to the removed entry. Conversely, this report does not establish a new monetization model or explain what any purchase label covers. Those questions require their own storefront descriptions or direct publisher confirmation.
A classification report is not a gold-master announcement
Neither the reported entry nor its current absence proves that development has ended, that a physical master has been approved or that further changes are impossible. We have not verified an explanation from PEGI or Rockstar for the reported removal. The next useful evidence would be a restored official record, an attributable clarification or an authenticated copy with a clear provenance. Until then, the detailed claims remain attributed to VGC and this article retains its unconfirmed classification.

This is reported information, not an official confirmation. Independent corroboration remains important.
