Confirmed

GTA 6 tracks a Criminal Profile and Jason and Lucia’s relationship, Edge reports

GTA VI appears to record more than money, weapons and mission completion. Edge’s Rockstar-controlled demonstration shows a Criminal Profile ranging from Professional to Irredeemable, plus a four-point relationship scale for Jason and Lucia. Together, the systems suggest that behaviour and shared time can influence the journey without replacing Rockstar’s authored narrative.

The Criminal Profile measures how the work gets done

[Edge](https://www.gamesradar.com/edge/gtavi-cover/) describes a Criminal Profile with Professional and Irredeemable at opposite ends, represented by angel and devil imagery. The feature connects the scale to choices such as threats and incapacitation versus more violent conduct. Rockstar says the profile can influence the story. That wording matters. Influence is not the same as a fully branching morality system with a separate ending for every score. Edge does not publish the number of profile states, the thresholds between them or a catalogue of missions altered by the result. It also does not establish that a single violent act permanently locks the player into one path.

Jason and Lucia’s bond has its own four-point scale

The relationship system is separate from the Criminal Profile. Edge reports a four-point scale that can rise through shared activities such as walking, cycling, visiting the gym and driving. This gives apparently ordinary time together a mechanical role beyond travel between missions. The feature does not say that every activity produces the same increase or that the scale only moves upward. It does not disclose all four labels, their precise effects or whether they are always visible. A reported relationship meter should therefore not be expanded into a complete dating-system guide before the game can be tested.

The relationship can change, but the story remains authored

Rockstar’s framing keeps Jason and Lucia at the centre of the narrative. Edge indicates that the pair cannot simply leave each other entirely, even if their relationship can be shaped. That suggests variation inside a fixed dramatic premise rather than the freedom to replace one protagonist or abandon the partnership. Marriage is not confirmed. Nor is a wedding mission, a domestic-management layer or a free-choice romance system with other characters. The Bonnie-and-Clyde comparison often used around GTA VI is a cultural shorthand, not a list of promised mechanics.

Two scales, many unanswered consequences

The most interesting possibility is that the two systems can intersect: a highly violent criminal style and a strong partnership may create a different tone from careful crimes and a strained bond. Edge does not show enough outcomes to confirm how often those combinations change missions, dialogue or endings. These systems matter because they connect ordinary play to characterization. They do not prove that every action creates a unique ending, that marriage is available, or that players can permanently separate the protagonists. The exact thresholds, rewards and consequences remain to be tested outside Rockstar’s presentation.
