Rumor

GTA 6’s Vice Beach agreement reportedly details a Y Hotel sign and $300,000 city fee

A new report puts contractual detail behind GTA 6’s Miami Beach campaign. GTAVice says it located an agreement dated October 15 in the City Clerk’s public records, with the city’s attestation dated October 16. Its account describes five proposed installations, including a Y Hotel sign, and separates the city’s activation fee from a much larger beach-services arrangement. This is a development beyond the earlier reporting about negotiations and stored umbrellas, not confirmation that every installation is already standing.

Five locations, with conditions attached

The reported package covers a Vice Beach sign in Lummus Park, branding at the Muscle Beach gym, a repainted lifeguard tower, a VI sculpture on Lincoln Road and changes to the W South Beach rooftop sign. These are different permissions rather than a blanket takeover of the city. GTAVice says the agreement requires applicable approvals and permits, and limits the city-property rights to the listed assets. The hotel is private property, so its owner must make a separate arrangement. A presentation rendering is evidence of a proposed design, not proof that the building has been renamed.

The Y Hotel proposal brings a fictional identity into the city

The reproduced hotel slide identifies W South Beach and shows a Y Hotel banner with a martini-glass illustration and the line “Y even ask?” The accompanying report describes replacing the rooftop W with a Y. Its significance is the use of a game-world identity on a real property; it does not establish new playable interiors or hotel systems in GTA 6. The cover image is this partnership proposal, reproduced by iGrandTheftAuto/GTAVice from the presentation, not a photograph of a finished advertising installation.

The money is not one guaranteed payment

According to the report, the city’s activation fee is $300,000, split into two $150,000 payments. A separate arrangement through Amplify concerns $4 million for Boucher Brothers services actually provided. GTAVice says the city’s existing arrangement would give it half of those fees. Those figures should not be described as a single amount already received. The report also identifies a promotional vehicle appraised at $643,443, with a planned 2027 auction benefiting the city or a later handover if it remains unsold. An appraisal is not an achieved auction price, and the vehicle is not identified.

Art Week and removal obligations shape the campaign

GTAVice reports that the five assets must be removed or covered from November 29 through December 6 for Art Week, with the campaign period ending December 31 and restoration due by January 15, 2027. It also describes a November 1 permit deadline tied to a limited termination option. These contractual dates are not a visitor schedule or a promise that all sites will open together. Our earlier October 12 account remains a historical report about negotiations; the new agreement reporting advances that chronology, while the final installation and permit status still need separate confirmation.
