Rob Brinkmann denies playing Jason in GTA 6
Rob Brinkmann has addressed the GTA VI speculation around his voice, saying he is not the performer behind Jason Duval. Dexerto’s October 29 report quotes his response to fans who linked him to the character. The denial closes down that particular claim; it does not reveal who actually plays Jason.

What Brinkmann said
In the Instagram video transcribed by [Dexerto](https://www.dexerto.com/gta/rumored-gta-6-actor-denies-claims-hes-playing-jason-3422645/), Brinkmann acknowledges that some viewers believed they had recognized him in GTA VI. His answer is direct: “I’m not your guy.” He thanks people for complimenting his voice and offers his best wishes to the performer who does play the role. The response was shared by [iGrandTheftAuto on X on October 28](https://x.com/iGrandTheftAuto/status/2115547398709600559). We checked that public post and Dexerto’s account; we are relying on the published transcription for Brinkmann’s exact remarks rather than claiming to have independently reviewed the original Instagram recording.
Why another name is not confirmed by elimination
Dylan Rourke is among the other names raised by fans and mentioned in Dexerto’s report. But Brinkmann’s denial supplies no evidence about Rourke’s involvement. A shortlist assembled from perceived voice similarities is not an official list of candidates, so removing one person cannot establish that another has the job. The same applies to silence. Not answering a casting question is not a confirmation, and it does not prove that a performer is bound by a particular confidentiality agreement. Those claims require their own evidence, not an interpretation of what somebody has chosen not to say.
Character information and performer credits are different
Rockstar has publicly presented Jason and Lucia as GTA VI’s protagonists, while the lead performers have not been officially identified in the material checked for this report. A character’s appearance, biography and dialogue can be public without the actor’s credit being public too. That distinction also underpins our recent report on Manni L. Perez’s livestream. Speculation around one lead should not be used to authenticate speculation around the other.
The narrow conclusion worth keeping
This is news about an actor rejecting a circulating identification, not a new casting leak. We are not presenting Brinkmann as a GTA VI cast member, attributing secret production knowledge to him or treating the denial as a coded announcement. A meaningful next development would be an attributable statement from the performer or Rockstar, or an official credit. Until then, acknowledging the denial is more useful than moving the same certainty to a different name.
