GTA 6 on PC in “six or seven months”? Pachter’s forecast is not a release date
A fresh PC window is circulating for GTA VI, this time from Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter. In remarks attributed to a BBC interview and shared by T5G, he says the game will reach PC in “about six or seven months”. That is a named analyst’s forecast, not a Rockstar announcement or evidence of a leaked production schedule.

Where the claim comes from
T5G posted an interview excerpt on October 27 identifying Pachter and highlighting the PC remark. Insider Gaming reported it on October 28, placing the comment in a discussion of platform availability and the current benefit to Sony from players needing a console at launch. We checked the circulating post and the report; we have not obtained an internal Rockstar timetable. The announced console release covers PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. The cited sources do not supply an official PC date, storefront announcement, system requirements or pre-order page. Pachter’s professional role makes the remark worth reporting, but it does not change who has authority to announce a release.
Why we are not turning the phrase into a calendar date
A relative phrase such as six or seven months can acquire false precision as it is repeated. Readers may count from the interview, from the console launch or from the date they encounter a headline. The resulting months are not all identical. The material cited here does not justify choosing one and presenting it as Rockstar’s target. The defensible claim is the one Pachter actually advances: he expects a comparatively short wait for PC. That expectation should remain attached to his name and its uncertainty. This article is classified as Rumor because the proposed timing is unconfirmed; within that category, its nature is specifically an analyst forecast rather than an anonymous leak.
Another estimate is not automatically corroboration
Earlier reporting has floated a different PC window. A new prediction does not validate the older one merely because both imply that a PC version could follow consoles. To establish corroboration, we would need to know that independent evidence supports the same specific proposition. Different guesses about a similar period are not enough. It would also be misleading to describe disagreement between unofficial windows as a delay. A delay requires a reliable baseline, ideally an announced schedule. Without one, the story is that forecasts differ, not that Rockstar has moved a release it never dated publicly.
What PC players can usefully take from this
For someone deciding whether to buy a console or wait, the uncertainty is more important than an attractive number of months. A forecast does not guarantee how long the wait will be, what hardware will be required or which technical options a future version might offer. Those are separate purchasing questions. A meaningful change in the evidence would be a Rockstar or Take-Two announcement naming PC and a release window, supported by an official product page. Until then, the platforms dossier remains the place to separate confirmed availability from expectations. Today’s update adds Pachter’s view to that discussion, without treating it as an instruction to spend money or as proof that an unannounced PC build is ready.
