A GTA 6 keychain listed at €425 shows the gap between retail and resale
An official GTA VI keychain originally priced at €14.99 has appeared in a resale listing asking €425, according to a new GTAVice survey. That is roughly 28 times the original price, but it is not evidence that anyone bought it for that amount. The more useful finding is the contrast between ambitious resale listings and products the outlet says could still be ordered from Rockstar at ordinary retail prices.
SOURCE IMAGEWhat the €425 example does and does not show
GTAVice reproduces a German seller’s listing asking €425 for the GTA VI keychain, which it puts at an original retail price of €14.99. The item is listed as used, with a note saying it was unpacked once. The screenshot includes an option to make an offer. The resulting increase is approximately 2,735 percent over the reported retail price, not evidence of a comparable rise in the item’s actual resale value. A seller can ask for a sum without finding a buyer. Image credit: listing screenshot and price comparison published by GTAVice.
The survey extends beyond one extravagant listing
The outlet says it checked 26 GTA VI merchandise items in the UK Rockstar Store and found 15 fully sold out across their sizes and colours. Its examples include a Zippo listed for up to £199.97 against a reported £35.99 retail price, and a money clip offered for £130.69 against £22.99. These are observations from GTAVice’s sample, not a complete market index. Currency, shipping, condition and regional stock all matter, so a price in one country should not be treated as a universal cost.
Some marked-up products reportedly remained at retail
The most practical part of the survey is its list of products that it says were still available directly from Rockstar when it checked. Examples include the sticker collection at £8.99 against resale listings up to £34.99, and a pink-and-blue canvas tote at £36.99 against a £150 listing. These are dated UK-store comparisons. They are not a promise that a particular size, colour or destination remains available now. Check the exact variant in the relevant official regional store before drawing conclusions from a marketplace headline.
A presale is not an item ready to ship
GTAVice also found listings for The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection, including one at $1,558.80 before additional postage, compared with its reported $399.99 US retail price. The outlet identifies these as presales ahead of the collection’s November 19 shipment date, rather than stock already held by the sellers. That distinction affects what the buyer is being promised: a future delivery depends on the seller obtaining the item first. A large number of listings or watchers does not demonstrate a large number of fulfilled orders.
Scarcity should be checked, not inferred from a price
For buyers, the relevant comparison is the total delivered price of the same official item, in the same condition, against stock they can actually purchase. Search results can mix official merchandise with inexpensive fan-made or inspired products, as GTAVice notes. Its survey also says Rockstar had not announced whether sold-out items would be restocked. Neither a restock nor permanent scarcity should be assumed. Our earlier collection coverage explains the launch; this follow-up documents the reported resale gap, while leaving unverified sales and changing availability clearly separate.
