GTA 6 radio's voices: RaiNao and Lana Del Rey explain the roles behind the music
GTA 6's first radio reveal is also a casting announcement. Across six stations, 13 named performers lend their voices to presenters and a field reporter. RaiNao and Lana Del Rey have now explained what joining that fictional broadcast world means to them, in statements published by Pitchfork and Holler.
SOURCE IMAGERaiNao describes a character rooted in Puerto Rican culture
RaiNao joins Bad Bunny on Cocoteo FM, with iGrandTheftAuto identifying their fictional presenters as La Gata and El Martillo. In a statement to Pitchfork, RaiNao says the station reflects their slang, traditions and experiences. She describes the appeal as "embodying a character who’s like me" while putting her culture and community in the spotlight. This is a statement about her performance and the station’s identity, not a claim about a separate playable storyline.
Back Country Radio has three voices, but not three identical jobs
Morgan Wallen plays MW and Lana Del Rey voices Delta Dawne. Jeremy Dufrene appears as Mud Dog Mike, described in the reporting as a roving reporter, swamp meteorologist and airboat captain. That distinction matters: the third credited personality is not simply another name on a DJ list. The setting gives the broadcast a connection to Leonida’s waterways, although the reporting does not establish that Mike can be found or interacted with in the open world.
Lana Del Rey points to a family connection with GTA
Speaking to Holler, Del Rey recalls relatives arriving in Los Angeles and recognising roads after playing the series. She calls taking part "super special and a privilege" and says she looks forward to playing. The anecdote describes her family’s experience with the franchise. It should not be read as a promise that GTA 6 reproduces real streets exactly, nor as evidence of how much dialogue the role contains.
The other four stations complete the announced 13
AfroBank FM pairs Burna Boy and Palms Trax as Burna and Palmsy. The Chamber 106.6 features Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya as DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, corroborated by Loudwire. Flash FM is hosted by Robyn and Alex Consani, billed in the fictional programming as Robyn and Alex. Dirty South Classics pairs Trick Daddy and Trina as Trick and Trina. Added to Cocoteo’s two voices and Back Country’s three, these four pairs bring the announced total to 13.
Additional voices remain a separate question
Loudwire identifies Caity Babs and Shawn the Butcher in The Chamber’s preview. iGrandTheftAuto distinguishes those identifications from Rockstar’s named presenter credits. We therefore do not add them to the 13-person roster or assign them a fictional role. An audible contribution, a guest appearance and a named station host are different things; the preview alone does not settle which category applies.
Where to hear the stations
Rockstar’s official music page provides previews of the six announced stations. They offer a first impression of the voices and programming, not the full broadcast schedules. The same page separately lists singles from GTA VI: The Album. A performer’s presence in one part of the music programme does not automatically establish that every song by that artist will play on their station.
