GTA 6 first-person footage reports do not confirm a full mode at launch

Reports on CyberLeek’s October footage describe GTA 6 running in a first-person perspective. That is a significant gameplay disclosure if authentic, but it does not establish that a complete first-person mode will ship. The earlier Flow Games interview describes a different plan: a focus on third-person animation, with first-person aiming available for certain weapons.

What the footage coverage actually says

GamesRadar reports first-person gameplay among the scenes in a roughly 25-minute upload attributed to CyberLeek. It also notes the tension with earlier preview information. That supports reporting a first-person perspective in the footage as a leak claim. It does not supply a confirmed platform, a retail settings menu or an announcement that Rockstar changed its launch plans.

What the interview said before the leak

Flow Games’ August 27 account of its conversation with Rob Nelson says GTA 6 would not include a complete first-person mode, explaining that the studio concentrated on third-person animation. The same passage allows a first-person perspective while aiming certain weapons. The distinction is important: an aiming view is not equivalent to navigating the entire game from the character’s eyes.

Why a development view is not a feature promise

An unfinished build may contain tools, experimental options or systems that are not exposed to ordinary players. Those are possible explanations, not findings about this particular camera. We cannot tell from the reporting whether the perspective was selected through a normal gameplay control, a developer tool or another method. Equally, it would be premature to dismiss the reported view as meaningless just because it was not part of the earlier plan.

Other scenes show why build context matters

VGC describes racing and garage customisation in the same batch. It also describes a tank appearing above a river, while explicitly leaving open whether cheats or a modified build were involved. These details help explain the evidential limit: an action shown in development footage need not be a normally available player action. The camera question requires the same care.

What would settle the question

A current statement from Rockstar, a clearly identified retail demonstration or documentation of a supported camera option would be stronger evidence of release support. Until then, the useful conclusion is narrow: first-person footage has been reported, while a full launch mode remains unconfirmed. This article stays labelled Leak and does not treat the reported images as an official feature reveal.
